Dalton Canaan Red ist eine Cuvée aus Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Sirah und ein wenig Shiraz, deren Mischverhältnis von Jahr zu Jahr variiert.

Canaan Red ist ein leicht zu trinkender, mittelschwerer Rotwein mit Noten von schwarzem Pfeffer, Kirschen und Pflaumen, und leichtem Vanillegeschmack. Dieser Wein möchte jung getrunken werden. Der Canaan Red ist eine gute Beigabe zu Pasta, Pizza, Geflügel sowie gemischten Grillgerichten. Außerdem ist er ein exzellenter Party-Wein.

Empfohlene Serviertemperatur: 16-18° Celsius, kann aber auch etwas gekühlter serviert werden

Red Canaan is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Sirah and a little Shiraz, the proportions of which may vary from year to year. Close proximity to the winery allowed for immediate crushing and fermenting. The colour of the wine is extracted by a rigorous regime of pumping over and warm fermentation. The Canaan wines are our earliest release wines and do not see influence of oak before bottling.

Tasting notes: Canaan is an easy drinking medium-bodied red wine with sweet fruit, with notes of black pepper, cherries and plums, low tannins and soft vanilla tones. This is a wine with very few pretensions and is made for immediate consumption.

Food pairing: The Canaan wines were made with the Israeli climate and cuisine in mind so they are particularly suitable for the Mediterranean cuisine. The Red Canaan is a good accompaniment to pasta, pizza, poultry, and mixed grills and also an excellent party wine.
